Q favors Jackson Olson being eliminated before Oct 28 because the Oct. 27 double elimination follows Olson's tie for the lowest judges' score.
The question turns on one night. Dancing with the Stars season 35 has eliminated six couples since mid-September and Jackson Olson is not among them, and a Week 6 twist on Oct. 20 sent nobody home at all, so all ten remaining celebrities carried into Horror Movie Night on Oct. 27. That episode carries a double elimination and is the last opportunity for an elimination to be declared before the Oct. 28 cutoff, which means two of ten couples leave. Jackson Olson's position is exposed rather than comfortable: the Dedication Night quickstep scored 32 out of 40, level with Connor Wood, Tatyana Ali and Tyler Cameron for the lowest mark of the remaining field. Judges' scores are only part of the mechanism. Jackson Olson has now cleared every elimination night of the season, which points to an audience base that does not appear in the scores, and a double cut removes only two of ten couples. The safest reading is that Jackson Olson is one of the likelier candidates for the cut without being the obvious choice, because the bottom of the leaderboard is crowded and the vote has repeatedly protected Olson. Markets currently treat an Olson elimination before the deadline as somewhat more likely than not, and the difference with this forecast rests mainly on how heavily Olson's share of the lowest judges' score weighs against a fan vote that has never yet put Olson at risk.
